Adapted from a Chinese poem from the Tang Dynasty, this descriptive piece is a musical interpretation of the scenic images portrayed by the text. Musically speaking, it features traditional Chinese nuances in its melody as well as unique style and structure in its development. Commonly performed on the Chinese plucked instrument Pipa, the adaptation to harp ensemble is a unique rendition with an underlying sense of familiarity.
