This piece features various characteristics of the composer’s home country – Singapore, through taking them on a musical journey of three places.
I. Telok Ayer, celebrates culture diversity through featuring a variety of musical influences from the four main ethnic cultures in Singapore (Chinese, Indian, Malay, Eurasian).
II. Keppel brings the listener to a quieter, almost secretive location in Singapore. It is one of the few places in the metropolitan that stars can be seen and waves can be heard while the city traffic rumbles in the distance.
III. Shenton is the financial district where in the day time it is constantly bustling with people, activity, energy, and commotion
