“Water Dance” is inspired by the famous tune “Flowing Water” from the repertoire of ancient Chinese instrument, ‘guqin’. This piece poetically paints the essence of the ever changing nature of water. Katryna showcases modern harp techniques and styles on the harp (including styles she adapted from the ‘guqin’), creating interesting palettes of sound colours!!

“Water Dance” Tan has been nominated by the 5th Annual Boh Cameronian Arts Awards 2006 (Malaysia) for under the category of Best Original Composition.
